So I'm flipping through the channels trying to find something good to watch when I come across this new show "Rock the Cradle" on MTV. The basis of the show is an American Idol-esque talent competition. But there's a twist. All of the contestants are children of famous singers. The contestants include Landon Brown, son of Bobby Brown, Chloe Lattanzi, daughter of Olivia Newton John, Jesse Blaze Snider, son of Dee Snider, to name a few. There are a total of nine contestants who will perform each week until they are all eliminated except one.
It's almost unfair. These kids are trying to make it on their own, but it's automatically going to be easier for them than just some random Joe. They don't want to always be know as "that celebrity's kid." They already have their foot in the doot just because of who their parents are.
Well the show kicked off with Eddie Money's daughter Jesse Money. I'm a bit disappointed. She wasn't that great. But I guess we'll see how it ends up. I'm kind of skeptical....I'm not sure that these kids are that great just because of who their parents are.

Why are there so many reality shows out there? What's the point of watching someone else live when you could be "living?" It just seems strange. If you want reality then watch the news. It was fine when it was just Fear Factor and survivor. I didn't mind the Amazing Race that much either. But who cares about My Dad is Better Than Your Dad? That's dumb.
Lol, I haven't seen this show yet, but I am sure that I will pass by it soon. It sounds crazy but I know that the ratings for it are going to be high. This means we will probably see a part 2,3,4,5 and maybe 100. Then again, it may get two thumbs down.
i saw the show and i have got to say i was not impressed very much. i mean olivia newton johns daughter was alright, but i couldn't tell you her name. in fact i don't even remember any of the kids name. i just know them as bobby brown kids or olivia newton johns daughter so their not helping themesevles break away from that, mentality.
Is there anyone you think stands out as the one that's going to make it?
Hopefully as the show progresses we'll see the real performers emerge as they all seemed a tad nervous. I am actually helping out with the show, so I have been listening to the contestants on Myspace and other sites, and it's cool to see what their music is like outside the show. It kind of gives you a better idea of the music talent (or not) they're bringing with them, and it will be cool to see where they go. Trying to escape your parent’s shadows and establish your own identity must be tough and definitely a double-edged sword if you think about it. I thought they all did a pretty good job on Thurs. and I guess we’ll see what the fans think when we find out who’s off the show first. Rock on!
